Some Capabilities:
Context-Driven Notifications: Apple Intelligence determines important notifications based on personal context.
Writing improvements: It equips system-wide proofreading and styling edits for both third-party and native apps.
Image generation: It can also create AI generative images based on your media library. There are three styles: Sketch, Illustration and Animation.
Cross-Application Tasking: It can access apps to perform tasks, like retrieving files from a specific contact during a set period.
Personal Context Focus: Apple Intelligence uses your activity and on-screen content to answer queries, such as checking if a rescheduled meeting conflicts with personal plans.
Private Cloud Compute: Utilizes cloud-based models on Apple Silicon servers, ensuring data privacy and security by sending limited, cryptographically secure data when necessary.
Genmoji
Apple Intelligence introduces a new form of emojis that can be created on the text prompt by typing a description, this creates a few emojis. A new image generation feature called Image Playground is coming to iOS 18. Also, the Genmoji will be accessible on pages and freeform apps with the image wand in the notes app, in the tool palette.
iPadOS 18
Apple announced iPadOS 18, presenting several new features: a floating tab bar and automatic sidebars for better screen usage, enhanced SharePlay with control capabilities, and the long-awaited native Calculator app for iPad with unit conversions and Math Notes for solving problems written with the Apple Pencil. The Notes app now includes Smart Script, which uses on-device machine learning to clean handwriting and transform typed text into handwritten format.
MacOS
The MacOS Sequoia has a range of new features like iPhone mirroring. It allows iPhone notifications to show on Mac with the Mac notifications. If you tap on the notification it will take you to the iPhone app on the Mac, at the same time the iPhone will remain locked.
Apple uses the AI in Safari to highlight the webpage’s relevant information while browsing. Also, it includes a redesigned reader feature for the distraction-free option.
Apple is transforming its iCloud Keychain feature into a standalone app, directly competing with 1Password and other password managers.
WatchOS 11
Apple WatchOS 11 focuses on in-depth health tracking with a training mode analyzing workout intensity, customizable summaries, and a new Vitals app. It offers pregnancy tools and more flexible goals for activity rings and lets you personalize your watch face with AI-selected photos.
Airpods and tvOS
On this WWDC Apple announced some enhancements to its audio products and home platform, new features for Airpods and tvOS.
AirPods now has the feature to answer or reject calls with your head motions and offers voice isolation for clear audio.
On tvOS, the insight feature provides information about what’s playing on your TV or iPhone, while audio enhancements improve spoken audio and subtitle timing. Additionally, Apple TVs now support 21×9 projectors and allow users to choose new screensavers, including Portrait photos.
iOS 18
Apple iOS 18 comes with a slew of personalization features.
Users can now customize their home screens by arranging apps around their background photos and adjusting app colours and darkness.
The Control Center gets a new look with grouped controls and an API for developers to integrate app controls. Privacy updates include app locking and control over contact access.
Messaging sees enhancements with new effects and emojis, while users can send messages via satellite. The Mail app gets email filters, and a new Tap to Cash feature enables quick, private payments.
Photos in iOS 18 simplify searching with a grid layout and themed categories like time, people, or trips. A filter button lets users effortlessly locate specific content, like filtering out screenshots.
Additionally, iOS 18 enhances gaming with minimized background activity and improved support for wireless controllers and AirPods.
Vision OS
Apple announced its Vision OS 2, the first major software update for the Vision Pro device.

In VisionOS 2, AI transforms normal photos into Spatial photos for Vision Pro compatibility. The update also introduces gesture-driven controls and expands Vision Pro’s display to an ultrawide format, equivalent to two side-by-side 4K monitors. Apple extends Travel Mode support to trains, previously limited to planes.
Additionally, the Vision Pro will be available in more countries like China, Japan and Singapore from June 28.
